Oregon lost three starting offensive linemen to the NFL after the 2025 season: Emmanuel Pregnon, Alex Harkey, and Isaiah World. The offensive line was the question mark entering 2026. Immanuel Iheanacho is the answer Oregon recruited. At 6-6, 345 pounds from Georgetown Preparatory in North Bethesda, Maryland, he is the #29 overall prospect in the 2026 class and the highest-rated offensive lineman nationally. He signed with Oregon and arrives this summer to compete for a starting job immediately. In a class built to address the biggest roster needs, Iheanacho is the most important signee.

Why He Matters

The offensive line is where the 2026 season will be won or lost. Oregon's 2025 OL allowed zero sacks on Pregnon's side and gave Dante Moore time to throw for 3,565 yards and 30 touchdowns. Three of those starters are gone. Iheanacho and fellow five-star Tommy Tofi are the two pillars of the rebuild. At 345 pounds, Iheanacho has the size to anchor the interior against Big Ten defensive lines. The question is how quickly he adapts to the speed and complexity of college football. Freshmen rarely start on the offensive line. But five-star freshmen with 345-pound frames and elite technique are not typical freshmen.

The Stakes

Oregon's path to a national championship runs through Columbus on November 7. Ohio State's defensive front will be loaded with NFL talent. If the rebuilt OL cannot protect Dante Moore and create running lanes for Jordon Davison, the Peach Bowl outcome repeats. Iheanacho is the most important piece of ensuring it does not. His development between arrival in June and the Boise State opener on September 5 will define the offensive ceiling.
