The Oregon Ducks play home games at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. Autzen has an official capacity of 54,000 and is widely considered one of the loudest per-seat venues in college football. Dan Lanning is the head coach of the Oregon Ducks. He was hired in January 2022 from Georgia, where he served as defensive coordinator during their national championship season. Through 4 seasons at Oregon, Lanning has compiled a 48-8 record (.857 win percentage), won a Big Ten title, and led the Ducks to back-to-back College Football Playoff appearances.

Dante Moore is Oregon's starting quarterback heading into the 2026 season. Moore passed for 3,565 yards and 30 touchdowns in 2025 and chose to return to Oregon rather than enter the NFL Draft. He is expected to be a preseason Heisman Trophy favorite. Dylan Raiola, a transfer from Nebraska, provides experienced depth behind Moore.

Oregon is 2-10 all-time against Ohio State. However, the series has been much more competitive recently. The Ducks have split the last four meetings 2-2, with both wins coming in the regular season (2021 in Columbus, 2024 at Autzen Stadium) and both losses coming in the postseason (2014 CFP Championship, 2024 Rose Bowl). The next meeting is November 7, 2026 in Columbus.

Not yet. Oregon has played for it twice: the 2011 BCS Championship (Auburn 22, Oregon 19, and Dyer was down) and the 2015 CFP Championship (Ohio State 42, Oregon 20). Marcus Mariota won the Heisman Trophy in 2014, the only Oregon player to win the award. Mariota received 90.92% of the vote, the second-highest percentage in Heisman history. That season he had 53 total touchdowns with just 2 interceptions, leading Oregon to the CFP Championship game. Dante Moore is expected to be a 2026 Heisman favorite.

Oregon is +850 to win the 2026 national championship per FanDuel (as of April 2026). That makes the Ducks the fifth-best odds in the country, behind Notre Dame (+650), Texas (+700), Ohio State (+700), and Indiana (+750). Autzen Stadium is widely regarded as one of the loudest per-seat stadiums in all of college football. With an official capacity of 54,000, Autzen punches well above its weight in terms of noise. The steep, enclosed bowl design traps sound on the field. Opposing teams routinely struggle with crowd noise, false starts, and communication breakdowns. Former USC coach Pete Carroll once called it the loudest stadium he had ever coached in.

Oregon has two primary rivals. The Washington Huskies rivalry is the most heated, especially since both programs moved to the Big Ten. The Civil War with Oregon State is the oldest in-state rivalry, currently paused until 2027. The Ohio State matchup has quickly become significant, with the two programs meeting in high-stakes games in back-to-back seasons. See all rivalry records.

Oregon's official team colors are dark green and gold (commonly referred to as green and yellow). The Ducks are famous for their extensive uniform combinations, thanks to the program's partnership with Nike and Phil Knight. Oregon regularly debuts new uniform designs, with over 100 different combinations used in the modern era.
