Freshman safety Jett Washington intercepted two passes on back-to-back plays from scrimmage, and fellow freshman Davon Benjamin got the third. Six different Ducks scored the first touchdown of their college careers, Hampton among them: his 7-yard grab late in the second quarter was the first of his life in college. The others were freshman tight end Kendre Harrison, redshirt freshman tight end Andrew Olesh, receiver Brady Bidwell, and freshman running backs Tradarian Ball and Brandon Smith. Dante Moore threw for 280 and four scores before the evening turned into an audition, and Jordon Davison ran for 81 and two. Yes, Portland State is an FCS team that fell to 0-4, and none of this tells you what happens in the Coliseum. It did tell you who is next in line, and after Stillwater that is worth something.
