The 2026 NFL Draft is complete. 7 of 11 Oregon Ducks were selected, with 2 in Round 1.

Round 1 Recap
Sadiq to the Jets at No. 16 makes him Oregon's first first-round tight end since Russ Francis in 1975. Thieneman to the Bears at No. 25 ends the NFL's longest defensive Round 1 drought (first Bears defensive R1 pick since 2018). Pregnon did not land in Round 1, which tracked with Brugler and Kiper having him R2 all along. The fan board called Sadiq's landing spot the worst case, but 4.39 speed and elite tape do not disappear anywhere. Day 2 opens Friday at 7 PM ET.

First Round: Results + Remaining

Two Ducks went in Round 1. The Jets took Kenyon Sadiq at No. 16, and the Bears took Dillon Thieneman at No. 25. Emmanuel Pregnon did not land in the first, which matched the consensus R2 reads from Brugler and Kiper more than the PFF R1 projection. He is in play early Friday. Eight Ducks in Round 1 over Lanning's seven years. The pipeline is real.

The Pipeline

Bo Nix and Marcus Mariota embrace after an NFL game, two former Oregon Ducks
Bo Nix and Marcus Mariota after a 2025 NFL game. Two Oregon QBs, two first-round picks, a decade apart. The pipeline is real.
6 straight years with a first-round pick (2020-2025): Herbert (2020, #6), Sewell (2021, #7), Thibodeaux (2022, #5), Gonzalez (2023, #17), Nix (2024, #12), Harmon + Conerly (2025, #21 + #29). 24 players drafted under Lanning in 3 drafts. 10 players drafted in 2025 (program record).

This is what Dan Lanning is building. The 2026 class is not an accident. It is the result of recruiting five-stars, developing transfers, and creating a culture where players get better every year. From Penei Sewell to Kenyon Sadiq, the Oregon-to-NFL pipeline is now one of the three or four best in college football.

Two Ducks went in Round 1 on April 23, 2026. The New York Jets took tight end Kenyon Sadiq at No. 16 overall, making him Oregon's first first-round tight end since Russ Francis in 1975. The Chicago Bears took safety Dillon Thieneman at No. 25, their first defensive first-rounder since 2018. Kenyon Sadiq is a tight end from Oregon. He had 51 receptions for 560 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2025, led all FBS tight ends in touchdowns, and won Big Ten Tight End of the Year. At the 2026 NFL Combine he ran a 4.39-second 40-yard dash, the fastest ever by a tight end, breaking Vernon Davis and Dorin Dickerson's 4.40 mark. He was selected by the New York Jets with the No. 16 overall pick in Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft, becoming Oregon's first first-round tight end since Russ Francis in 1975.

Dillon Thieneman is a safety from Oregon. He transferred from Purdue in December 2024 and in his one Oregon season had 92 tackles, 2 INTs, 7 pass breakups, and a 90.2 PFF coverage grade. Derrick Harmon (DL, No. 21 overall to Pittsburgh) and Josh Conerly Jr. (OT, No. 29 overall to Washington) were Oregon's two first-round picks in 2025. Oregon has produced a first-round pick in six consecutive drafts (2020-2025): Herbert, Sewell, Thibodeaux, Gonzalez, Nix, and Harmon + Conerly.

16 Ducks worked out at the Moshofsky Center on March 17, 2026. 31 of 32 NFL teams attended (only the Rams were absent). Bryce Boettcher ran a 4.61 forty. Sadiq and Thieneman opted out of drills after strong Combine performances. Emmanuel Pregnon grabbed attention from scouts.
