The Story

The 2025 class was not just highly rated. It played. Immediately. Jordon Davison rushed for 667 yards and a team-high 15 touchdowns as a true freshman, scoring in 10 of 14 games before breaking his clavicle in the CFP Quarterfinal. Dierre Hill Jr. added 656 yards as the speed-back complement. Dakorien Moore, the #1 receiver in the country, started from day one and caught 34 passes for 497 yards and 3 touchdowns as a true freshman, the eighth true freshman in Oregon history to start a season opener. Brandon Finney Jr. started every game at cornerback and recorded 29 tackles, 7 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles, and a pick-six against Indiana. Na'eem Offord, who flipped from Ohio State on signing day, earned immediate playing time. Trey McNutt, a four-star safety from Cleveland, broke his tibia in fall camp and missed the entire season. He is expected to compete for a starting safety job in 2026. This class contributed to a 13-2 season and back-to-back CFP appearance.

The Impact

The 2025 class addressed two critical needs. At receiver, Dakorien Moore and Dallas Wilson replaced the production of Tez Johnson (83 receptions, 10 TDs) and Traeshon Holden (45 receptions, 5 TDs), both of whom left for the NFL. Moore was the two highest-rated WR signee in program history. At cornerback, Na'eem Offord flipped from Ohio State on signing day, Brandon Finney locked down his side in the Orange Bowl shutout, and Dorian Brew (who redshirted) gives Oregon three former five-star corners competing for two starting spots in 2026. Akili Smith Jr., son of former Oregon QB Akili Smith (the #3 overall pick in 1999), signed as a developmental QB.
